J&R CD Haul

Been a while since I've hauled CD's from J&R Music world.
Seems I've been a bit behind the times heh...

So Today's haul was.

Garbage - Bleed Like Me (Yes I'm a garbage fan, although nothing beats version 2.0)
Rob Zombie - Educated Horses
Queensryche Operation Mindcrime II
Crystal Method - Community Service II
Tweekend has been my favorite for a long time. If they don't pull out the stops on this release it will be my last.
I wasn't particularly happy with the prior one.

I really only liked the first Garbage album, but I haven't heard much beyond it. I remember listening to some snippets of one of the later albums at Tower Records in Melville and finding it pretty unsatisfying. Oh well.

Operation Mindcrime II, however, I'm pleasantly surprised by. It's closer to Promised Land than OM1, but I dig it. And considering I hated or was bored by every other QR album since Promised Land, that's actually a reasonably kind recommendation. I'm keen to hear it at better quality than the MP3s I have though. Yes, I will probably actually buy this one! WOW! ;)

Garbage - Version 2.0 was a spectacular album.
Highly recommended.

I wasn't as keen on the third album.
The forth is gonna take some time for me to absorb.

Regarding QR OM II.

Has the feel of Mindcrime I.
I'll have to absorb it more to know.

I like Mindcrime II so far, but I really really need to sit down and give it a close listen soon.

Same here...
I'll have to load it up onto my PDA and get some real headphone listening to absorb it correctly.

It seems when I do that I tend to really like and know the albums much better.
