Regicide - Breaking the Silence
Thanks to Teri @ hardnheavy.com, I scored a copy of this Import.
Male/Female vocals along with Metal and a violin as a lead.
Quite an interesting disc.
I found myself still drawn toward the prior release viorus (Which can be had on eBay at a reasonable price).
Still, This is a great disc and highly recommended if you like metal with great melodic vox and a lil violin thrown in.

I probably would have purchase more from NEH, only thier dam online shopping cart system seems tonclear all the carts out on the hour. As I was browsing looking for new music It kept clearing out my cart. What a poor design!
Atter a few clearings, I just put in the few I could remember and got out of there LOL!
I also found a bunch of new Ambient Rock / Enigmaish CD's on Amazon.. But Ihad to wait for those considering you can only absorb so many CD's at a time.
At least with Dual Core, I can rip -n store them in one sitting!

J & R Music World Haul
Joe Satriani - Super Colossal (didn't know this was out, Thanks to Alien for the heads up!)
David Gilmour - On an Island (didn't know about this either).
So far I've heard the Satch, It's classic Satch with Melodic Leads, Catchy Drums.
Seems a bit toned down from what I remember of Satch. Good, not as electrifying as some older tunes.
Maybe a few more listens will peak my interest. Maybe a headphone listening session on the trains will change it.
I'm kinda curious about the David Gilmour, this should be interesting.. Stay tuned.

Glenn Harveston, the promoter of Prog Power USA declares his love for this disc: "AYREON MEETS THERION!"Well maybe Glenn was letting the whiskey talk once again but I sure understand where he is coming from. Completely unique symphonic metal debut from Greece self-described by the band as "electronic art metal". Keyboardist Thanasis Lightbridge is the mastermind behind this project. Dol Ammad is a blending of orchestral and space metal. Think Vangelis mixed with Therion, Ayreon and Sunblaze. In addition to the dominant keyboards the ensemble includes an 11 piece female/male choir, guitar, bass and drums. Noted drummer Alex Hozwarth (Rhapsody, Sieges Even) propells the music along at a sometimes frantic clip. This disc sounds HUGE courtesy of producers Sascha Paeth and Olaf Reitmeier. Highly recommended.
