Back to the grind
So it's back to the grind.
Here I thought my vacation was going to be a relaxing time and it turned out to be full of turmoil.
I'm actually glad to be back at work now.
At least this keeps me busy and my mind off the situation.
I decided to skip out on Nearfest.
I just could not deal with a 4 hour drive down and back all by myself.
Too bad. Oh well. It's iffy if I'll go to progpower this year too.
I thought I would share some pics with everyone if various places in Rockaway beach where I ride.
I'll add some captions when I get a chance (or the mood).
You'll see the beach, boardwalk and various paths I ride along.
These are what I call "my paths of power".
It's the one place in the world that soothes and relaxes me no matter what is going on.
There is nothing like a quiet ride along a cool path during the summer.
(and the free meat from bugs flying in your face is an added bonus LOL!!!)
The ride is approx 7 miles and I take about 45 minutes to an hour to finish it (depending on speed).
If I choose to go all the way to Breezy, it's an 11 mile ride.
Perhaps I'll make the run in the future and tape pics along the path.
That's a beautiful ride too, although it's not as quiet and contemplative.
There will be duplicates until I clean up the gallery.
I was working with various lighting effects on the camera trying to get the best color combinations.
Some of the pictures were taken as potential windows & myspace backgrounds.
I thought it might be cool to replace that windows XP rolling hills background with the land I love.
I love Rockaway, It keeps me at peace and centered.
I hope y'all enjoy the pics.

I'm vacating!
I figured I would start the summer of with a bang and use up some of the 6weeks vacation I get. Sometimes it's too much and actually a minor chore to schedule it out.
Amidst all the turmoil of late, this is the week of R's.
Rest, Relax, Rejuvinate, Reevaluate, Rediscover & Reconnect.
I started ny daily 10 mile cycle[s] around rockaway.
Usually one in the early Am as the sun rises, and one in the PM as the sunsets.
